On countless occasions, Google has proven to be our saviour. We can find answers for everything from planning a baby to diffusing a bomb in Google. But, even Google can’t save itself from controversies. Here’s a list of random and inappropriate answers that landed Google in trouble.

Magic search alert! one person’s name under another person’s image. However, the text correctly stated Jawaharlal Nehru as the first president. Yet, the image of Narendra Modi was displayed. People started questioning the logic behind this!
3) Before that, it showed PM Modi as “ World’s most stupid Prime Minister”
Google later clarified that this happened because of an article. The Reuters article read “Why work with India’s new leader? It’s the economy, Stupid”. How strong the CEO of Reuters must have been?
4) Even Before that, It Showed PM Modi’s photo for “Top 10 criminals in India”

Google once again apologized and cleared the reason behind it. Well, wondering If google has a thing for PM Modi?
5) It shows Donald Trump’s image while searching for the word ‘Idiot’
No clarification was given behind this. Moreover, this image remains a result of the search till date.
6) Google Home refused to respond to the question “Who is Jesus?”
Some have noticed the Google Assistant wouldn’t respond for “Who is Jesus.” This wasn’t out of disrespect but to ensure respect. Some Assistant replies come from the web. While it answered the questions like “Who is Buddha” and “Who is Muhammad Ali”. Google Home refused to answer “Who is Jesus?”. People started pointing out discrimination. However, Google responded on why this was happening with the following tweet.
7) Biases in google results
For years people have been pointing out the biases in Google results. For example, if you search for the word ‘girl’. The images displayed are not very diverse and inclusive. This has to stop!
