74 Year Old An Autorickshaw Driver Who Was Once An English Lecturer

A professional working woman in Bangalore named Nikita was on her way to work one day. But she was stranded on the middle of the highway by her Uber auto. She was afraid and it showed on her face. However, an another local autorickshaw driver stopped his vehicle near her and asked where she wanted to go.

She said, she was running late for office which was located at the other end of the city. For which, the autorickshaw driver responded in proper English, “Please come in Ma’am, you can pay what you want.”

Inspired by his story, Nikita wrote,

“Not one complaint about life. Not one regret. So much to learn from these hidden heroes.”

According to NDTV, the next 45-minutes of her auto ride gave her a memory of a lifetime!

A 74 year old Pataaabi Raman, the autorickshaw driver. He was an english lecturer back in the days in Mumbai. He was working in a private educational institute in Powai.

His salary was less and since it was a private institute, he didn’t receive a pension either. After completing MA and M.Ed degree. He was unable to find jobs in Karnataka due to caste issues.

So the man decided to move to Mumbai. He found a job in the city of dreams. After he was retired, he came back to Bangalore. SInce then he started riding an autorickshaw and been in this for the past 14 years. He says, that he has a solid living and earns preety well.
