Based on insider information, a special team of cops raided a resort in Chennai’s Panaiyur area and rescued three women who are hailing from West Bengal and Maharashtra. It has been reported that they were forced into prostitution. Source revealed that there were few more women locked in another resort named SM Palace in Kovalam and the same team rescued five more women.
After Investigating the resort owner, Senthil Kumar, It has been stated that he brought the women to the city on the promise of a job and force them into prostitution.
Police stated that “Two of his brokers named Mahendran and Sivakumar share the women’s picture in WhatsApp with charges between Rs.10,000 to Rs.20,000 based on the demand from the customers. They brought customers in a hired car to the resort”. Police also arrested driver Dileep, resort manager Babu, and middleman Sathish. Transport used for picking up the clients and mobiles were seized.
A similar incident occurred as Virugambakkam police busted a flesh trade racket in the spa service salon and rescued three women in the Kumaran colony.
