On Monday, mid-night a man trying to walk over the Indian border from Pakistan side shot dead by BSF forces. The Border Security force appointed at the international border in Rajasthan joining Karanpur of Srinagar.
As per the confirmation from a senior officer, the incident took place at 14 S village, near the Harmukh check post in Sriganganagar.
“Alert BSF troops neutralized an intruder coming from Pakistan at the international border near Harmukh check post on Monday. The intruder crossed over to the Indian side and started moving towards the fence. The body was recovered during the search operation,” the officer said.
As per the news, Pakistani military declined to accept the body of the intruder.
The BSF army guarding the nation cautioned the intruder not to step forward. However, the intruder did not pay attention and started moving towards the border. Hence, the troops quickly fired, preventing the incursion.
Additionally, the officer said currently, the area is under isolation and the investigation is ongoing.
“We have informed Pakistan rangers about the incident, but they are verifying the identity of the intruder. If they refused to accept the body, then it will be cremated as per protocol. We are waiting for official confirmation or denial from the Pakistan side,” he said.
