Coming back to the recent report. Himanta Biswa the CM of Assam seized drugs from four places. The raid took place in Dipu, Golaghat, Berhampur, and Ajhoi.
Following the seize CM burnt all these drugs in a pyre lit by him. According to reports, this step was to send a message of zero-tolerance of illegal contrabands.
The Last Rites of Drugs in Assam!
In 'seized drugs disposal' program at Hojai today, 353.62 grams heroin, 736.73 kg ganja and 45,843 tablets have been destroyed.

At Golaghat, 1.02 kg of heroin, 1,200 kg of ganja, and 3 kg of opium were lit. Moreover, at Diphu, 11.88 kg of morphine, 2.89 kg of crystal meth, 3.47 kg of heroin, and 102.91 kg of cannabis were destroyed.
