A middle-class Indian girl tied the knot with an Australian boy. We find ourselves attracted to people who reflect on us. Conversing about similar likes and dislikes is enough to make two people get closer to each other. It’s very rare to witness two entirely foreign people with contrasting backgrounds falling for each other.
One such couple has recently married. Tabassum Hussain hails from Manawar in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. She has three sisters and two brothers. Her father, Saadik Hussain, is a mechanic who mends broken bicycles at a shop near the bus stand.
Being underprivileged, it’s the dream of every girl to see the day when she can peacefully leave her father to rest at home while she goes off to earn the money.
It was in 2016 when Tabassum’s fate decided to turn toward the light. Tabassum was honoured with a scholarship of ₹45 lakhs by the state government to pursue her higher studies in Australia.
In 2017, she flew off to Australia. During her stay in Brisbane, she met Ash Haunschild. Later she got to know that Ash is her senior in her college. As time ticked by, they both fell for each other and settled on getting married on 2nd August 2022.
Seeing the photos, Saadik Hussain desired to arrange a wedding in India and see her daughter as a bride. Ash and his mother were also delighted to have a desi wedding. Hence they flew down to India. Ash excitedly said,
“I liked Poha, jalebi, and daal bafla. Indian food has a good taste. I would love to try other dishes.”
In 2020, a German company offered Tabassum a scholarship of ₹74 lakhs. And now, she is working in the same company as a senior manager. This is how Tabassum fulfilled her dream, settled with her beloved person, and now living a beautiful life.
