Three women in Chennai arrested for selling an eight day old boy in Sembium. The Sembium police has rescued the infant. The child was sold for Rs1.5 lakh to a woman.
The Sembium police started investigating the case. The child welfare committee member, N Lalitha lodges a complaint against the women. The police team swung into action and rescued the victim.

It was reported, a 26-year-old woman named Udhaya sold her eight-day-old son to a couple in Erode.
The team investigating the case interrogated Udhaya. The victim’s mother confessed to the police that she gave her child to S Jansi Rani alias Arthi. The police team arrested Jansi Rani. She confessed that she gave the baby to Kavitha.

Kavitha, further sold it to a woman who was looking for adoption. As per the police investigation, the head of this case is in prison and he finalized the deal from prison.
