The Staff Selection Commission – Combined Graduate Level is conducted to fill different categories of vacancies in different ministries.
Tier 1 of this exam’s question paper consists of 4 major sections which include – General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. As this pattern resembles the UPSC question paper, the UPSC candidates can give this a go.
The exam requires a high level of practice and intelligence in maths and logical reasoning.
2) Bank PO
This exam can fetch you a seat at any bank in India as a probationary officer. Typically, a bank PO undergoes probation for two years and then gets promoted to Assistant Manager.
Once again the syllabus here is just the same as the UPSC and SSC pattern.
3) RBI Grade B
The syllabus of the RBI Grade B exam is similar to that of the bank exams. The pattern repeats itself.
Getting through this exam will make you an RBI officer. A Grade-B Officer can get promoted up to the level of Deputy Governor, which is the second-highest in rank after the RBI Governor.
4) State PSC
The state PSC exams follow the same pattern as the UPSC exam but are a little easier than UPSC, so it is a must to give it for the exam if you are aspiring for UPSC.
The exam pattern and syllabus vary from one state to another. If you belong to a state you will get the preference to get the job.
UPSC board conducts CDS to recruit candidates for the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Officers Training Academy, and the Indian Air Force Academy. Once again, the exam follows the same pattern as all the other exams.
The CAPF exam is conducted by the UPSC to recruit candidates in various armed forces. Selected candidates will become assistant commandants.
7) LIC AAO
It is a national-level examination to recruit officers to LIC. Qualified candidates will get the post of LIC Assistant Administrative Officer. The syllabus is the same as the other exams and consists of 4 sections.
8) UGC NET
You can acquire a Lectureship and become a Lecturer after qualifying for the UGC NET exam. The candidates who qualify for the exam are funded to do their research. The exam has two papers.
