Rahman, who hails from Kerala finally married his girlfriend Sajitha. Whom he had hidden in a room for 10 years.
A young man from Kerala Palakkad district had been hiding his girlfriend for 10 years. This incident had gone viral a few months back. Sajitha had been hiding in one of the rooms of the small house without anyone’s knowledge.
Finally, after a long difficulty, they are now officially married.
The wedding took place at the Sub-Registrar’s office in Nenmara Town in the Palakkad district of Kerala.
10 years back, an 18-year-old Sajitha left her home and started staying at Rahman’s home. Both the families were unaware of the arrangement.
“One day she told me she can’t stay at her home anymore. I had no other option, so I asked her to come with me. I was expecting some money, so I thought I would go with her and live somewhere else. But the money got delayed, and when I got it, my family took it away. So, we were stuck,” Rahman informed the reporters.
In 2010, Sajitha’s parents filed a complaint as their daughter was missing. Meanwhile, Rahman was also investigated by police about her presence. However, the family could not find their daughter. Slowly, they lost hope and let go.
In the meantime, Rahman made sure that Sajitha was safe and sound. Moreover, he kept his family away from even entering the room as he had a special lock system for the room.
The couple cringed from disapproval from the families. Hence, in March, they shifted to a rented home at Vithanassery village of Palakkad. Later when Rahman went missing, the family filed a missing complaint. Yet, Rahmans brother saw Rahman ding a motorcycle.
This is the time the couple confesses their story to their families.
Finally, after a decade-long hassle, the couple ties a knot at a non-religious ceremony. In the presence of local MLA K Babu and Sajitha’s parents Velayudhan and Santha.
Wishing the couple a very happy married life.
