It’s been a week after Akshay Kumar apologised for being featured in an advertisement for a paan masala brand. And another star has rejected to get into an agreement with Vimal pan masala.
KGF Chapter 2 actor, Yash declined a multi-crore acceptance deal from Vimal pan masala and cardamom brand. The agency that manages endorsement deals for Yash, Exceed Entertainment, has confirmed the news.
Arjun Banerjee is the head of the talent management agency. It manages Yash’s endorsements. He said in a press statement, Lately we dropped a double digit multi crore proposal from a pan masala brand and are going to be intensely aware on who we associate with. Given his pan-India attraction, we want use this chance to give right kind of messaging to his fans and followers and invest our time and sweat with brands.
This news came days after Akshay Kumar informed his disassociation with Vimal paan masala brand. Initially, he joined Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan for the promos of Vimal’s cardamom products. However, the brand sells tobacco products. Last week, Akshay apologised to his fans, and shared a note that said he’d use the endorsement fee for a worthy cause.
