People in uniform have won people’s hearts by going one step forward in helping the citizens in many ways. After the Chennai incident when a woman carried an unconscious man on her shoulder and people called her lady Singham. Now a cop from Srinagar has won millions of hearts with his sweet gesture.
Recently, a video of Abdul Rehman, a 90-year-old man narrated how some city goons robbed of his life savings. Which he had saved by selling nuts on the streets. And expressed how he was beaten up by robbers and looted Rs.1 lakh from him in Bohri Kadai.
Once the video went viral SSP Sandeep from Srinagar looked into the case and paid Rs.1 lakh rupees from his own pocket and promised to catch the culprits.
SSP Sandeep said, “Sometimes it takes time to catch the culprits. I saw his face in the video and decided to help him”.
As per the reports. Rahman has saved the money for his last rites. As he lived alone, he was scared of losing the money and carried the cash along with him. The total savings were 1.6 lakh which was divided and kept in two different pockets of 1 lakh and 60 thousand respectively. However, the robbers snatched 1 lakh rupees and left him on the roadside.
“Money is not a big problem even if an iPhone costs more than a lakh but for him, it was his life savings that were lost.”
Be it Rehman or some other person. Saying that much money at this age is something close to impossible. However A big thanks to SSP Sandeep for keeping his hopes alive and helping him.
