Mother’s day is celebrated across the world on May 8th. As a reason, most brands advertise their products on Social media showing tribute to mothers. Meanwhile, Calvin Klein, a famous clothing brand had a backfire on social media. As they featured a pregnant transgender man to promote their brand. As a result, there is a division of the audience. Few support the brand while others boycott it.
However, Most of them said “Goodbye Calvin Klein”, “Boycott CK”, “Not spending any money over this brand”, and it goes on. On another side, one wrote: “Thank you for sharing different types of motherhood,” and “I love to see this anti-exclusivity campaign by a brand as legendary as yours.”
While the mother’s day post by Calvin Klein highlighted parents, couples and their children. Unfortunately, one thing that did not make a hit was including of trans-couple-Roberto Bete and Erika. The advertisement shows Roberto as a pregnant man.

Replying to the adverse response, CK being firm restated that the brand intended for integrity. The brand said, “We embrace this platform as an inclusive and respectful environment for individualism and self-expression.
