Rats bit a three-day-old newborn in the Jharkhand government hospital. The baby is now in a critical condition. This indicates a shocking instance of nurses’ unconcern. The management fired Two nurses in connection to this case. A meeting was held to investigate the matter.
The incident happened on May 2 at Giridih Sadar hospital. After that, they admitted the newborn girl to Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) in Dhanbad. She was in a critical condition. Above all, the condition of the baby is now steady. Mamta Devi, the baby’s mother said she saw serious injuries on the infant’s knee caused by the rats.
The baby was born on April 29. However, she was again admitted to the MCH due to her breathing issue. The nurse on duty said that the infant has jaundice. The nurse also urged to admit the infant to a better hospital.
In conclusion, the district administration has ordered an investigation into the incident. And they will take necessary action on the duty doctor.
