After three and a half decades apart, iconic combo Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam reunite for their highly awaited action flick, Thug Life. The film is Kamal Haasan’s 234th feature, and it marks his return to Ratnam’s production company following their legendary collaboration with Nayakan in 1987.

The title of the film was revealed yesterday, and it is now titled Thug Life. Thug Life’s motion video depicted Kamal Haasan with his face hidden behind a hood, surrounded by people wielding weapons. The poster exudes a dark and ominous aura.

In the trailer for Thug Life, Kamal Haasan plays Rangaraya Sakthivel Nayakan, a thug known as Kayalpattu Kaaran. The teaser also shows Haasan in the flick with long hair and tough clothing.

Thug Life is a collaboration between Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s production companies, Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies. AR Rahman is composing the music for the film, and Sreekar Prasad is editing it.
