A group of 10th grade Tamil Nadu government school students from Virudhunagar complanied the Educational depatrment. Against their teachers for discriminating against them and others in the school. The Tamil Nadu school education department has taken action against the school. Not only the teachers, but also the headmistress of the school, were involved in discriminating against the scheduled caste students in the high school.
The students in the Virudhunagar district not only faced verbal abuse. But they were all forced to clean the school toilets. One of the parents said to the IANS, “Students were being discriminated against in this school. 10th grade students were forced to leave the school with a transfer certificate. The teachers in the school talk about anything and everything with the students.

J Megnath Reddy, the District collector of Virudhunagar has received a complaint from the parents. Where the headmistress has verbally abused the students. Once the complaint was received, the investigation was commenced. The education minister, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, has stated that if teachers are found engaging in such behavior, severe consequences will be imposed.
A similar incident where a shopkeeper denied giving snaks to school students went up on social media. Later on, the shop in Mahaeshwaram was sealed by the district administration officer. The man, along with his partner, was arrested in this case.
