VCK Says Dalit Men Were Murdered Over Political Tensions

A 30-year-old person was hacked to death by a group visible to everyone at the Arakkonam New Bus Stand on Wednesday. 

​Police said the identity of the gangsters had not been set up yet and the intention behind the homicide was not known. 

The person in question, V Gokul, implicated himself; he had gone to a TASMAC outlet close to the transport station around early afternoon. A group of men, who were at that point present at the shop, unexpectedly began pursuing Gokul, the police said. 

After a short pursuit, the group got Gokul and hacked him to death with sharp articles in full general visibility out and about as spectators moved away in panic, the group killed him and escaped the spot, leaving him dead in a pool of blood. 

Arakkonam Town Police raced to the spot and recovered the body, which was sent for postmortem assessment to the Government Vellore Medical College Hospital. 

“Two youngsters killed in Soganur, close to Arakkonam. 3 others are in a clinic in a normal state. Caste-fanatics committed these homicides out of the dread of losing in the election.VCK requests capture of PMK rank enthusiasts. We’ll hold exhibits on April 10 at all locale base camp,” Thirumavalavan wrote on Twitter.

Sources said Gokul had been associated with assault cases. A police group has dispatched a troop into the matter.
