Viral! A Odisha Women Cooks Roti On Car's Bonnet To Prove Climate Change

India is facing severe heatwave situations. March was considered the hottest in 122 years. However, the temperature across India has also been high in April. Various states in India have crossed 40 degrees celsius. And the point is it’s not even June yet. Odisha is handling extreme temperatures for the past week.

The Special Relief Commissioner issued heatwave alerts across the State. They issued alerts particularly for nine districts, until April 30. Amidst the rising temperature, a video from Odisha has gone viral. One random Twitter user shared a video on the 25th of April. It is now all over social media. In that video, a woman from the Sonepur district of Odisha is making roti on the car’s bonnet.

The temperature registered in the video was 40 degrees Celsius. Nila Madhab Panda, an Indian film producer, and the director is a native of Odisha’s Sonepur. He shared the video from his official account. He wrote a caption under the video saying, “Scenes from my town Sonepur. It’s so hot that one can make roti on the car Bonnet.”
