Kerala is currently dealing with 2 ready viruses. On one hand, there is a rise in coronavirus cases, and on the other hand, the state is suffering from the Nipah Virus outbreak.

Recently when a 12-year-old boy from Kozhikode District in Kerala succumbed to Nipah, the officials rushed and enforced containment to stop the spread of the virus.

In 1999, the Nipah virus was named after Sungai Nipah, a village in Malaysia 

Nipah is a zoonotic virus!

On the other hand, we still have no clue how Covid-19 spread!

Covid – Fever, dry cough, loss of smell, tiredness, headache

Nipah virus is more deadly, less contagious. Whereas covid is on the contrary. 

Virus spread Worldwide

Nipah virus is spread not only in India but also in Singapore, Malaysia and Bangladesh. 

Coronavirus has spread almost all over the globe across 221 nations. 

Medicines and ways to cure. 

As the Nipah virus was discovered in 1999 and was not spread across the globe there is no drug or vaccine currently for this virus. 

However, the deadly Coronavirus has just damaged the world. And people are still researching different vaccines and medicines.
