Before we begin, What is India known most for? Diversity is the first thing that comes to most of our minds.
Having said that it is important for one another to respect each other’s religions, rituals and languages. While we might not have to know it all, we need not lecture others for not knowing the same. Remember the famous saying that goes…
“If one is not good in English, he is better in his own language” English might be the majorly known language doesn’t mean everyone has to master it.
As it happens, a feud broke between Zomato employee and customer regarding “Language barrier”
Ordered food in zomato and an item was missed. Customer care says amount can't be refunded as I didn't know Hindi. Also takes lesson that being an Indian I should know Hindi. Tagged me a liar as he didn't know Tamil. @zomato not the way you talk to a customer. @zomatocare pic.twitter.com/gJ04DNKM7w

Following this, the Employee got fired and the company issued an apology:
Vanakkam Vikash, we apologise for our customer care agent's behaviour. Here's our official statement on this incident. We hope you give us a chance to serve you better next time.

However, in a series of threads right after, the reinitiation has been announced.
And remember, our call centre agents are young people, who are at the start of their learning curves and careers. They are not experts on languages and regional sentiments. Nor am I, btw.

Now many netizens did say that the customer was nowhere asking for the employee to get fired. In fact, everyone blamed the flaws in the hiring and training of the company.
In either case, from a company so big people expect better performances!
